What is a Foot Care Nurse?

Foot care nurses are specially trained healthcare professionals who focus on keeping feet healthy, especially for those who may struggle with foot issues due to age, medical conditions, or mobility limitations. Foot Care Nurses assess and treat a variety of foot and nail problems, like trimming thick nails, treating corns and calluses, and managing minor foot-related concerns. In addition, foot care nurses will perform shoe evaluations, gait assessment, and education regarding foot health. Their care can prevent more serious issues, especially for people with diabetes, poor circulation, or other health concerns. Foot care nurses not only provide treatment but also educate people on maintaining foot health to improve comfort and mobility.
